Case Study: GreenAcres

Case Brief:

  Greenacres are a multi-site private Crematorium business with sites across the length and breadth of England.

When we first met them they had a number of sites with one supplier whereas others were provided by a range of other providers. IT services were managed by yet another provider. All of this caused a lot of confusion.


In terms of priorities, due to Greenacres’ rural nature, a number of their sites required urgent connectivity upgrades specifically because the running of a smooth funeral and streaming of music during those events, coupled with the extensive use of Cloud software meant that internet connectivity was vital.


SCG won a tender for Greenacres benchmarking on Hosted VoIP, Connectivity and IT services


 We brought all services together (VoIP, Connectivity and IT services) and provided one easy to reach point of contact in a dedicated account manager, Roddy Currie. We installed leased lines at each of their sites with remotely managed Meraki firewalls. This allowed us to manage the bandwidth at their sites to prioritise certain applications as well as monitoring their estate.


Once fibre was installed and with the impeding copper switch off, the sites moved to SCG’s own Evonex platform for VoiP unifying all sites on one phone system. This provides great disaster recovery and a fully supported environment with one point of contact.
